Greetings from Fresh Start Farms!
It’s nearly December and time to start thinking about holiday gifts for your friends and family! Shop local this season and what better way to do that than to share the gift of local food. We have carefully curated holiday gift boxes for everyone on your list! Place your order as an extra when customizing your box this week.
Even with many places in the state seeing the first few inches of snow, local farms are still producing a variety of veggies. This week we have arugula, spinach, and pac choi from Edgewater Farm (Plainfield NH), micro greens from Grateful Greens, plus parsnips, squash, potatoes, leeks, and more!
Holiday Gift Boxes
Give the gift of local food to your friends and family this holiday season! We’ve got a variety of gift boxes available made from all local foodie favorites that will make for a meaningful gift anyone can enjoy. Plus, the boxes are perfectly sized for mailing to loved ones near and far. Limited quantities available so order now!
Gift cards are also available to gift someone a one-time box of Fresh Start Farm veggies or a month long Farm Share for the upcoming growing season. Pricing starts at only $28!
Shop local and support producers in your community!
Thanksgiving Boxes for the Manchester Community
Thanks to funding from Elliot Health System, Harvard Pilgrim Foundation, and Children’s Health Foundation the Fresh Start Farms team assembled and distributed 150 Thanksgiving boxes for families in need in Manchester.
These 150 boxes contained all of the fixings for a big Thanksgiving feast and totaled around 2,200 lbs of food! The boxes were distributed through Manchester Housing sites and the Boys & Girls Club.
We don’t yet have final numbers, but so far this year, thanks to our FarmShare Food Donation Fund donors, we have donated over $12,000 in fresh fruits and vegetables to the community. Thank you for your commitment to making sure everyone in your neighborhood has access to the healthy food they need.
