Thanksgiving Boxes for the Manchester Community
Thanks to funding from Elliot Health System, Harvard Pilgrim Foundation, and Children’s Health Foundation the Fresh Start Farms team assembled and distributed 150 Thanksgiving boxes for families in need in Manchester.
These 150 boxes contained all of the fixings for a big Thanksgiving feast and totaled around 2,200 lbs of food! The boxes were distributed through Manchester Housing sites and the Boys & Girls Club.
We don’t yet have final numbers, but so far this year, thanks to our FarmShare Food Donation Fund donors, we have donated over $12,000 in fresh fruits and vegetables to the community. Thank you for your commitment to making sure everyone in your neighborhood has access to the healthy food they need.

For your Thanksgiving Cheese Board:
New! Blue Ledge Farm Herb Chevre
New! Hot Pepper Cheese from Plymouth
Plymouth’s Hot Pepper is a natural raw artisanal milk version of an American pepperjack. Aged for sixty days and turns up the heat and buzzes with flavor.
We also have Plymouth’s Smoked, Black Truffle, Sage & Herb, and Garlic Peppercorn cheese!
Founded in 1890, Plymouth is a family-run cheese factory in Vermont. They use only the finest, pasture-rased raw cow’s milk — free of additives, antibiotics and rBST — sourced from a single dairy herd from a sustainable, seventh-generation family farm 40 minutes up the road.

Red Wine & Garlic Salami
Simply seasoned with cracked pepper, red wine, and garlic. This salami is round, earthy, and studded with buttery, melt-in-your-mouth fat. VT Salumi combines fresh ground pork and spices in all-natural casings. Each link is hand-tied, fermented, and aged for three weeks to develop superb taste and texture.
Authentic, all-natural, handmade charcuterie from the VT countryside. Made from simple ingredients with careful craftsmanship, VT Salumi starts with antibiotic-free pork to make artisan all-natural meat products rooted in Italian tradition and the classic salumificio.
Whole Chickens
Don’t need a whole turkey this Thanksgiving?
Robie Farm’s Whole Chickens are all-natural, 100% pasture free-ranging, growth hormone/antibiotic-free, and local.
Robie Farm is a small family farm owned and operated on the banks of the Connecticut River in Piermont, NH. All of their chickens are humanely raised right on their farm in movable pens on pastures (as opposed to indoor confinement).
