Fresh Veggie Boxes for Manchester Housing Residents
Thanks to funding from New Hampshire Children’s Health Foundation and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation, Fresh Start Farms has partnered with Manchester Housing to distribute free fresh food to the community for the fall.
Fresh Start Farms will build 100 boxes of local vegetables and fruit to be delivered to seniors and families in three Manchester Housing facilities each week. Our goal is to deliver 1200 boxes before the end of the year! We’re excited to share the fall bounty with the community!

Recipes
of the Week
Dunbarton Farmer, Sylvain, loves to enjoy his mustard greens with filets of Cod. Mustard greens contain many health-boosting antioxidants and are a great source of several B vitamins, Vitamin K and C, and much more. A super green for sure!
- Saute mustard greens with oil over medium heat until wilted. Add garlic, onions, and butter and cook for about 5 minutes and season with salt.
- Make cod by seasoning with salt and pepper and searing in a hot pan with oil. Once a thick golden crust forms, transfer the pan to the oven at 350 degrees. Roast until cooked through. Serve by topping greens with cod fillets. Top with a mix of olive oil, fresh lime juice, soy sauce, and grated ginger.
