Greetings from Fresh Start Farms!
The changing season brings the end of some crops and the beginning of others on the farm. Sunflowers are starting to droop and drop petals, okra is still flourishing, bitter melon harvest is upon us, and a flush of butternut, acorn, and carnival squash has arrived. The Dunbarton farmers have harvested an abundance of green and colored peppers. This week brings another round of green beans, some additional broccoli and cauliflower, and more watermelons and cantaloupes from Edgewater Farm.
Apples have arrived! This week we have Honeycrisp, Fuji, Mutsu, and McIntosh apples from Brookdale Fruit Farm.
We also have a $6/lb Pineland Farms Grass-Fed Beef! Pineland Farms grass-fed beef contains no antibiotics, no added hormones, is animal welfare certified, and 100% natural.

With a buttery aroma and a feathery finish, Maplebrook’s fresh mozzarella is so good you’ll want to eat it all before you get home.
Plymouth’s Black Truffle Cheese is the delicate mingling of the Original Plymouth recipe sailed metaphorically to the shores of Tuscany. In the Italian tradition, truffle cheeses are typically made with sheep’s milk—but this pioneer is a raw cow milk version, aged for sixty days, infused with real truffle morsels from Italy and touches of white truffle oil.
Founded in 1890, Plymouth is a family-run cheese factory in Vermont. They use only the finest, pasture-rased raw cow’s milk — free of additives, antibiotics and rBST — sourced from a single dairy herd from a sustainable, seventh-generation family farm 40 minutes up the road.
