Welcome to the Fall FarmShare!
It’s week one of the fall FarmShare! If you are joining us for the first time, welcome! And welcome back if you have been an ongoing member! We appreciate all of your support and hope you will enjoy the bounty that the fall harvest has to offer.
The fall FarmShare will continue to offer fresh, local fruit and veggies; we source as much as we can from the Fresh Start Farmers, until their season comes to a close. After that we continue to source from local farms around New England to continue to strengthen the local food system and serve our role as a food hub.
*Indigenous Peoples' Day Schedule Changes*
In order for farmers and staff to observe the holiday, you will be receiving your FarmShare customization email this afternoon. You will have until Monday, 10/9 at midnight to make changes to your FarmShare.
Deliveries and pickups will operate on the normal schedule. This week, you may see some substitutions in your FarmShare since the amounts of crops available were estimated today and might be off a bit by the harvest next week. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding!

Spicy Collard Greens and Black Eyed Peas with Fresh Tomatoes
“Collard greens and black-eyed peas with fresh tomatoes make a most companionable trio, pulled together by a smoky heat provided by chile peppers and smoked paprika or barbecue seasoning. This black-eyed peas and greens recipe presents a traditional Southern duo at it best in this easy recipe.”
Perfect to warm you up on a cold fall day! And you can get many of the ingredients in your FarmShare, like collard greens, hot peppers, and onions.

Plymouth Cheeses
Plymouth Artisan Cheese Co. boasts American’s oldest cheddar, made in Vermont from an 1890 recipe! You can certainly taste the difference: the raw milk for this cheese is single-sourced from a herd of Holstein and Jersey cows. Each flavor is aged for a minimum of 60 days and when it is ready, it is dipped in hot wax, the traditional form of packaging that Plymouth has used for over 130 years.
Try from flavors like Garlic Peppercorn, Smoked, Black Truffle, and Hot Pepper!

Bone-In Chicken Breast from Robie Farm
It may seem simple, but chicken breast is a great low-fat source of protein and is very versatile. All of the poultry from Robie Farm is pasture-raised which results in meat that is high quality, tender, flavorful and rich in vitamin A and Omega-3 fatty acids.
Great for grilling, stir-fries, curries, casseroles, and so much more!
